Cranial Sacral tHERAPY
Cranial Sacral Therapy (CST) is a light touch massage modality best used to address symptoms of migraine and cluster headaches, TMJD, complications from dental work, post-concussion syndrome, vertigo, and more!
CST addresses the brain and the spinal cord, as well as the bones of the skull, spinal column, and tailbone.
Unfortunately, the stresses and strains of daily life can cause soft tissues to tighten and distort the positioning of the bones of the head and spine.
This can cause tension to form around the brain and spinal cord, resulting in patterns of restriction. Restrictions within the cranial sacral system interfere with the healthy performance of the brain, and every other
bodily system it controls.
The cranial sacral therapist uses their hands to assess the cranial sacral system by gently contacting and sensing various locations of the body to examine the ease of motion and rhythm of the cerebrospinal fluid.
The therapist then utilizes techniques to release restrictions and improve performance of the nervous system.

Cranial Sacral Therapy is ideal for:
…clients with tightness in the jaw from teeth clenching or grinding, and those with history of oral surgery or dental work

A cranial sacral session does not necessarily involve the kind of manipulation of muscles that a traditional massage therapy session might, and so is ideal for those who want the benefits of massage, and yet do not particularly love the kind of touch expected of a traditional massage.
A client could choose to remain clothed during a session, if that were their preference. Sessions are conducted in a comfortable and dimly lit room, and are commonly found to be extremely relaxing.
